Q.How much does an AI video platform cost to build?
A focused product with generation, avatar rendering, accounts and Stripe starts around $12k. A full platform with a campaign generator, a library, teams and analytics usually runs $25k to $45k. I give a fixed quote after we have scoped the plans and the render pipeline.
Q.Which avatar provider should I use?
HeyGen is what I have shipped with twice and it is the most reliable for avatar plus voice clone today. The integration is isolated behind one interface in the code, so switching providers later is a contained change rather than a rewrite.
Q.What stops my rendering costs running away?
An entitlement catalogue that every generation path checks before it spends anything, plus per-account cost tracking. The common failure I see is a pricing page promising unlimited generation on a call that bills per second with no cap anywhere in the code.
Q.Can it use my own face and voice?
Yes. Avatar creation from your footage and voice cloning from a sample are both part of the integration, with consent captured and stored, which matters if you ever resell the product.
Q.How long does a build take?
Six to ten weeks for a sellable product, longer if you want teams, brand kits or multi-language. I ship the generation pipeline first so you can test the output quality before the rest is built.
Q.Do you handle the prompt quality, or just the plumbing?
Both. The prompts are tuned against your own examples and reviewed with you, because the plumbing is worthless if the output does not sound like your business.
